I'm Anne. I hand-dye yarn, make kits for knitters, and write words for the common good. I put fresh yarn in my shop most Sundays, in tandem with my Sunday newsletter.
I dye three-season wools (wool, cashmere, mohair blends), lace-weight fluff, and summer yarns (cotton, linen and silk) in six different weights. These are the actual yarns I use for my own knitting, and they reflect my preference for plump, round yarn (most are 3-ply), wool that's next-to-skin soft, and production that's gentle on the environment.
Most of my yarns are grown and/or spun in the United States or Canada, which helps to keep their economic and environmental footprint as close to my home as possible. I dye both non-superwash and superwash bases and believe both have a place in a knitter's stash.
